About the Project
Addressing a Critical Gap in Medical Education
Medical education across Europe consistently underdelivers on communication skills training. As patient cases grow more complex, chronic conditions more prevalent, and healthcare increasingly digital, effective doctor-patient communication has never been more critical — yet most curricula offer no structured training for it.
The consequences are real: misdiagnoses, medical errors, and poor treatment adherence. EMPOWERED brings together five institutions from four countries to build a modern, scalable solution grounded in scientific evidence, stakeholder input, and digital innovation.
