HUPON
The Hungarian Pediatric Oncology Network (HUPON), formally known as the Magyar Gyermekonkológiai Hálózat (MGYH), is the central national coordinating body for pediatric oncology and hematology services in Hungary. Established in 1971, the network brings together specialized hospitals, clinics, research institutions, healthcare professionals, and advocacy partners to ensure that children with cancer across Hungary have access to standardized, high-quality, evidence-based care. HUPON operates the National Childhood Cancer Registry, coordinates unified treatment protocols in line with international standards, supports clinical research and education, and plays an important role in improving national policies, resources, and long-term outcomes in pediatric cancer care.
