Objectives:
EMPOWERED aims to modernize medical education by integrating AI and VR-supported training to enhance doctor-patient communication skills and improve healthcare outcomes.

Implementation:
The EMPOWERED will develop a structured curriculum, create an AI-supported learning platform, and implement VR-based role-play with real and simulated patients. It will design an accessibility module for visually impaired students, conduct teacher training, and translate materials into multiple languages. Piloting, feedback collection, quality assurance, dissemination, and policy recommendations will ensure impact and sustainability.
Results:
The EMPOWERED project will develop 12 curriculum modules, 7 VR WebXR-based role-play simulations, launch an open-access platform, and an AI-powered update system sourcing from 30+ validated platforms for graduate and postgraduate students and educators. It will ensure inclusivity through a module for visually impaired students and translate all developed materials into Hun, Rom, and Pol languages. Policy recommendations will be developed for EU medical education standardization.
